I knew I wanted to be an artist since fourth grade. At the time, there was no way I could know that my dream of being an artist would turn into a passion I could actually build my life around.
I began photography somewhat accidentally. My friend asked me to be a second photographer for her for a wedding she was photographing. I had to borrow her camera, and I fell so much in love with clicking that button that I eventually bought that camera from her.
Two years later I took a (very terrifying) step to start documenting moments on my own. Life is beautiful, and it's incredible that we get to reflect on that beauty through photography over and over again. My photography style takes a documentary approach. I love to capture organic moments that can't be recreated. It is important for me to have a relationship with my clients so those organic moments can shine though the awkwardness of being in front of a camera.
When I'm not behind the camera I'm working for a nonprofit as a graphic designer, which is another one of my passions. I have two cats. I'm crazy enough about cats that I volunteer at a local cat shelter - but I like dogs too, I promise. In another life (and if I could even somewhat keep a beat) I would be a musician. I love all sorts of music, but Led Zeppelin will always hold a place in my heart.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me - now I want to learn about you. Fill out my contact form or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and tell me about your event or idea.
